Important Epic Ludo Rules

From setups to members and gameplay, the following are the rules to play Epic Ludo online:

1. Members or Participants

Epic Ludo is usually played among two to four players. The board is square-shaped, and all four corners are assigned to a player with a respective color. Players must sit beside their assigned corners and strategize accordingly. In a two-player game, opponents sit opposite each other.

2. Setup

The online version comprises a square board where each corner has a specific color. Four colored pieces are placed in each yard, with routes connecting them to the center home. Safe spots on the board prevent token elimination, including the first step after moving out and the final five-step path leading home.

3. Prime Objective

Players aim to move their four tokens to the home of their respective color before their opponents. Points are earned for every move, and capturing an opponent’s token deducts their points while adding them to your score. Reaching home doubles the point value.

4. Opening a Piece

At the start, all pieces reside at the first step of the route. Players can move any piece without needing a specific number. If a piece is eliminated by an opponent, rolling a six is required to bring it back.

5. Rolling Sixes Twice

Rolling a six grants an extra turn, but rolling three consecutive sixes prevents movement on the third roll.

6. Cutting or Capturing Pieces

Players can capture opponent’s pieces to send them back to the start, earning an extra dice roll and deducting the opponent’s points while adding them to their own score.

7. Reaching Home

The game ends when a player moves all four tokens to their home before time runs out. Reaching home grants an additional dice roll, and the first player to do so wins.
